Decisions

The worlds most successful people share a common quality ; they make decisions. Decisions, or lack of them will make or break a career.

People who are proficient at making decisions, without being influenced by others opinions, are the same people whose yearly income falls into the six and seven figure category. 

Its not just your income that is affected by decisions, your whole life is dominated by this power. The health of your mind and body, the well – being of your family, your social life, the type of relationships you develop are dependent upon your ability to make sound decisions. 

How does a person develop this Mental Ability?

You must do it on your own. Just you reading this is the beginning of becoming more aware of the importance of decision making. 

When you become proficient in making decisions, conflict and confusion is eliminated, decision brings order to your mind which in turn is reflected in your results. 

Failure to develop the ability to make decisions is doom. Indecision sets up internal conflicts, which can , without warning escalate into all – out mental and emotional wars. 

You start  improving your ability to make decisions in exactly the same place you start any journey and with the same resources. YOU DECIDE! That is the number 1 principle of decision making. 

The reason why most people have trouble to master this important aspect of life is they permit their resources to dictate if and when a decision will or can be made. 

Think about this; would we ever have seen a man on the moon if the decision ” to put a man on the moon and return him safely to earth before the end of a decade.” had not been made by President Kennedy.                                

Now in all the thousands of years of human history this was not a consideration. Kennedy DECIDED where he was with what he had. Here’s a key importance. 

The objective was accomplished in his mind the second he made the decision . It was only a matter of time, which is governed by naturally law, and the goal was manifested in the physical or material form for the world to see.

Thinking

Thinking is important. Decision makers are great thinkers. Unfortunately there are a great many people who do not take thinking as a serious consideration. There are a select few who make an attempt to control their thoughts. 

There is complete agreement  on the study of great achievers and decision makers of history. ” we become what we think“.

We must realize that our thoughts control every decision we make, and we are the total sum of our thoughts. Take charge and refuse to let negative people or circumstances affect you. 

Circumstance

Circumstance is the greatest stumbling block we face in decision making. Instead of giving into circumstance we should be giving everything we have to make the decision that will push us through and up..

More dreams are shattered and lost because of circumstance than any other factor. Have you caught yourself saying ” I would like to do or have this but I can’t because-

Yes circumstances can cause a detour in your life, but don’t ever let them stop you from making important decisions.

Failure

There are those who try something once or twice but miss the bulls eye. they feel like a failure. Now failing is not the failure. Inventors Motto, “yowhen you are inventing, if you fail 999 times and succeed once, your in”  Failing toughens you up and gets you ready for the big Win !  Winning is a Decision.

Vision                                                                                                          

J.C. Penny had failing eye sight at the age of 91, yet he said  ”his vision had never been better.”  When your vision is clear it becomes easy to make a decision. 

Build a mental decision predicting your prosperous future. Make a firm decision to hold on to that vision, and positive ways to improve everything will begin to flow into your mind. Remember this, if you knew exactly how you were going to make your vision happen, it would be a plan. There is no inspiration in a plan

A vision is fueled by inspiration. When you get a vision snap a photo in your mind with a decision and don’t worry where the resources will come form or how you will do it. 

Charge your decision with enthusiasm.

Worry

The decision to worry never solves anything. Worry only makes matters worse. All worry does is rob today of its joy. 

Worrying about “lack of” is an indication of a serious misunderstanding with respect to our source of Supply!  When you clearly understand that everything comes from God, (or what ever you refer to ) You will find decision making easy to do. Faith in Gods provision and His ability to supply all things, will be revealed with crazy things being sent your way to  help you achieve and manifest the successful out of your decision. 

Advanced Decision Making. 

Here is an interesting idea that can help you gain huge benefit in your effort to become a more effective decision maker— Advanced Decision Making.

Just think about this. We advance booking for plane flights, hotels, rental cars, grandmas 90th birthday. Confusion and problems were eliminated by decisions made well in advance. 

The exact same idea works with a person trying to lose weight. Saying no to a big slice of delicious chocolate cake is easy because a decision was already previously made.

Advanced Decisions mixed with Discipline equals Successful Results. Stats show that highly successful people make decisions very quickly, and slow to change them if at all.

Following the Crowd.

Successful individuals follow their own counsel,  while individuals who rarely win have a general habit of “following the crowd“. Historically , the crowd has always been traveling in the wrong direction.

Be unique and march to your own drum. Yes decision makers go to the top and those who do not make decisions seem to go nowhere.
