A How To Guide To Move The Dreamer To Success

Have you ever wondered if there was a how to guide to move the dreamer inside of you, to that place where the manifestation of your dreaming takes place?

Have you got owner ship of your dream? Have you ever tried to figure out why some individuals dream big and actually have them come true?

In my own entrepenurial journey, the road has been one of discovery and experimentation of my own creativity, and of course the pursuit of this dream that burns like an ember in side of me.

I had more than one conversation with other like minded souls, that my dream seemed so elusive, like looking through an early morning mist. The dream that was shrouded in uncertainty but refusing to die.

It was that intuitive voice that so often leads us that pointed me to John Maxwell .

I am sure there are those of you reading this that know of him, as an internationally recognized leadership expert, speaker, and author that has sold over 16 million books.  John Maxwell was named the Worlds Top  Leadership Guru by Leadershipgurus.net.

John Maxwell’s book Put your Dream To The Test was the insight that moved  my understanding and the meanings of a dreamer, and a dream, from that elusive possibility that was always just out of my reach, to a movement that has been led by clarity and purpose.

Here is an insert from John Maxwells book   Put Your Dream To The Test.

The Right and Wrong Picture of a Dream

I’ve studied successful people for almost forty years. I’ve known hundreds of high-profile people who achieved big dreams. And I’ve achieved a few dreams of my own. What I’ve discovered is that a lot of people have misconceptions about dreams. Take a look at many of the things that people pursue and call dreams in their lives:

  • Day Dreams – Distractions from Current Work
  • Pie-in-the-Sky Dreams – Wild Ideas with No Strategy or Basis in Reality
  • Bad Dreams – Worries that Breed Fear and Paralysis
  • Idealistic Dreams – The Way the World Would Be If You Were in Charge
  • Vicarious Dreams – Dreams Lived Through Others
  • Romantic Dreams – Belief that Some Person Will Make You Happy
  • Career Dreams – Belief that Career Success Will Make You Happy
  • Destination Dreams – Belief that a Position, Title, or Award Will Make You Happy
  • Material Dreams – Belief that Wealth or Possessions Will Make You Happy
  • Seasonal Dreams – A Short Term Target You Try to Reach

If these aren’t good dreams-valid ones worthy of a person’s life-then what are? Here is my definition of a dream that can be put to the test and pass: a dream is an inspiring picture of the future that energizes your mind, will, and emotions, empowering you to do everything you can to achieve it.

A genuine dream is a picture and blueprint of a person’s purpose and potential. Or as my friend Sharon Hull says, “A dream is the seed of possibility planted in the soul of a human being, which calls him to pursue a unique path to the realization of his purpose.”

This amazing book is put forth in such a manner that you are able to work your way through your discovery of yourself and your dream with the expert guidence from John Maxwells proven results.

Maxwell  shows you how to razor sharpen your vision and galvanize your commitment by teaching you how to answer “yes” to questions like:

  • Is my dream really my dream?
  •  Am I depending on factors in my control to achieve my dream?
  •  Do I have a strategy to reach my dream
  • Have I included the people I need to realize my dream?
  • Am I willing to pay the price for my dream?
  •  Does my dream benefit others?

If you are not seeing the results that you are striving so hard to achieve, perhaps it is time to evaluate your dream, and take the time to go over these steps that John so highly recommends .

You may be astonished at the shifts your mind and understanding will go through.

But you will come out the other side with a new found clarity, energized inspiration
and a burning passion on purpose that will empower your actions to the fulfillment of your dream.
